Yasmin Ingham, the current Isle of Man Sportswoman of the Year and part of the Creechurch Sports Academy, achieved 5th place in the International Class at the Hopetoun International Horse Trials, Scotland.
The field consisted of a number of Olympians from across the globe and Yasmin was the highest placed British competitor.
This result has given Yasmin the qualification to progress to the final selection day of the British Equestrian Federation World Class Start programme, which takes place in October.
World Class Start is the next Level up to the Senior Team Selection, where the top British riders such as Zara Phillips and William Fox-Pitt are in the World Class Performance programme.
Yasmin said: "It was a tremendous experience competing at such an international event and I am very proud of my achievements."

Yasmin has also been rewarded for her promising rise up the equestrian ladder, with Isle of Man residents, Eddie and Sue Davies, giving Yasmin the ride on their top Olympic horse, Imperial Cavalier, who won a Silver medal in the London Olympics with Mary King.
