Last minute travel option available for 2014 IOM Classic TT

The Isle of Man Classic TT Races presented by Bennetts has sparked huge interest in the Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling with fans looking to see the leading TT riders go head to head with Classic racing specialists around the iconic TT Mountain Course.

However the Island's travel and accommodation providers are advising that there is still some availability on certain routes to experience this year's event.

There is very limited availability in the Island's hotels over the August Bank Holiday weekend (22nd to 25th August) although there is some capacity during qualifying and later in the week during the Manx Grand Prix.

'Glamping'

Official Classic TT Travel Partner Regency Travel has 'Glamping' (glamorous camping) accommodation in the South of the Island in Colby with five nights self catering from 21 August at ?299 per person based on four people sharing. The price includes a 5metre ‘bell tent’, wooden frame beds with mattresses, duvets, pillows, carpeted floors, unlimited Isle of Man public transport ticket for the duration of the trip and free Official Programme and Race Guide.

Camping

Regency Travel has availability around the island for its five-night package that includes campsite pitch, Isle of Man public transport ticket and Official Programme and Race Guide at ?150 per person.

Day trip packages

There are day trip packages, starting at ?129 per person, available through Regency Travel for fans looking to make a quick trip to the Island. Day trips by sea are available for both Classic TT race days on Saturday 23 August and Monday 25 August. The day-trip packages include a return sailing from Heysham, a coach tour of the course, breakfast at the Claremont Hotel, Official Programme and Race Guide as well as the option of adding Grandstand and VIP tickets. 

Day trips by air for Monday 25 August including return flights from Liverpool, return transfers from the Isle of Man airport to Douglas, Official Programme and Race Guide with an option of Grandstand ticket or upgrade to VIP tickets from ?159 per person.
UK and European direct flights

There are a number of flights still available for an extended trip between 21st and 26th August including London Gatwick return from ?120 per person, Liverpool return from ?60 per person and Belfast return from ?150 per person while direct options from Europe include Paris CDG from ?200 return per person and Dusseldorf from ?210 return per person

Ferry Availability

Many sailings on peak travel days are full for vehicles but there is still some space on off peak sailings, which will allow you to catch most of practice week and the Classic TT weekend action.

Most sailings, even on peak days still have availability for foot passengers and don’t forget that you can take your bicycle free of charge on the ferry.
