Kennaugh takes British road race title

by isleofman.com 30th June 2014

Peter Kennaugh is the British national road race champion.
He beat Island resident and fellow Team Sky rider Ben Swift in a sprint for the line at the end of Sunday's race, which finished in Abergavenny in Wales.
It's the second year in a row a Manxman has taken the title, Mark Cavendish having done so in 2013.
Illness had ruled him out of defending his title.
Mark Christian finished 15th.
Meanwhile, in the women's race, Mark's sister Anna came 14th, while Laura Wasley was 27th.
