Illness rules Cavendish out of British title defence

Defending Champion Mark Cavendish has pulled out of Sunday's British National Championships road race in Wales as he suffering from bronchitis.
He won the title in Glasgow last year over the proposed course for the Commonwealth Games.
The Manx Missile will concentrate on recovering and training for the Tour de France.
The Championships open later today with the Time Trials - Manx riders competing in those races include Mark Christian, Ed Perry and Tom Black who will be up against the likes of Sir Bradley Wiggins, David Millar, Alex Dowsett and Geriant Thomas.
In the Women's Time Trial, Anna Christian and Laura Wasley are set to lock horns with Lizzy Armistead, Emma Pooley, Danielle King, Joanna Rowsell and Laura Trott to name a few.
