by isleofman.com 25th June 2014

Manx Gas is offering three apprenticeships to Island youngsters keen to embark on a career in engineering, for the first time in three years.
Network services director Robert Gardner says the company is looking to invest in the youth of the Island, "after a difficult few years and a major restructure of the business".
The vacancies have been advertised at Isle of Man College, local schools, the Job Centre and on the Manx Gas website.
Candidates should have some form of electric or electronics certificate and those appointed will split their time between on-the-job training and study, either locally or at at UK college.
Applications close next Friday (4 July) and an assessment day will be held on 9 July.
International Energy Group which own Manx Gas, is offering similar apprenticeship openings in the Channel Islands, where it also owns gas operations.
