The Isle of Man turned in a good performance on Sunday to defeat Hadleigh, who are second in the Essex league.
Batting first the Island made 169 for 8 with Danny Kniveton top scoring on 35, which came from 24 balls.
Alex Stokoe impressed with 28 not out from 14 balls, while Adam McAuley also made 28 and Greg Hawke hit 27.
Tight bowling from the Manx then pinned back the English team, who were restricted to 118 for 8 from their 20 overs.
Greg Hawke took 3 -10, Alex Stokoe 2 -21 and there were wickets for Akkie van den Berg, Luke Lacey and Sam Kebbell.
On Monday evening the Island play their first match in the ICC Europe Division Two championship.
This is against Norway and goes ahead under floodlights at the county ground in Chelmsford.
Meanwhile, in the Standard Bank Blincoe Cup semi-finals on Sunday Crosby B defeated Valkyres B by 116 runs and the Junior Development Eleven beat Union Mills by 11 runs.
