A motorcyclist killed during the first TT Supersport race died from massive blunt force trauma, an inquest has heard.

65 year old Bob Price, a car repair shop owner from Stroud in Gloucestershire, died in a crash at Ballaugh on the third lap of the race on June 2.

At a Douglas Court House today, Coroner of Inquests John Needham returned a verdict of death by misadventure.

He said the race and road conditions were almost perfect and hadn’t contributed to the incident.
