Following today’s government announcement that states the Isle of Man will proactively monitor and control innovations within the digital currency arena, the Junior Chamber of Commerce are proud to be hosting a timely event next week that will explore the many opportunities Bitcoin can bring the island as we continue to move towards a digital economy.
Backed by the DED’s Director of E-Business Development, Peter Greenhill commented, “The JCC event will offer a great opportunity for those wanting to learn more about digital currency and how it will affect them.”
“We welcome those on the island who can meet the necessary standards and we will continue to work the FSC and Department of Home Affairs to ensure a fair and appropriate regime is implemented. Of course this takes time as the market is constantly changing however I am confident this will be successful.”
Guests attending the event at the Palace Hotel on 18th June will be treated to an insight into Bitcoin and other e-currencies courtesy of the event’s speaker and industry expert Paul Davis who is the Founder of the Manx Digital Currency Association.
Sponsored by Wi-Manx, an on-island network and hosting provider who already has experience in the Bitcoin space, MD Joe Hughes believes this breakfast briefing will be a brilliant opportunity for people to learn more and ask questions relevant to them and their industry.
