by isleofman.com 6th June 2014
The dream for Team Ellan Vannin is alive.
They have clinched a place in the final of the ConIFA World Football Cup in Sweden after a 4-1 victory over Arameans Suryoye.
Despite falling behind in the 10th minute, Ciaran McNulty equalised and they then turned on the style in the second half with Jack McVey, Chris Bass junior and McNulty sealing a memorable win.
Tipped at 250/1 to win the competition at the start of the tournament, they will face the French county of Nice in Sunday’s final.
Ellan Vannin defeated them 4-2 in their group match on Tuesday.
