Busiest festival since Centenary TT, says Steam Packet

by isleofman.com 5th June 2014
Visitor figures suggest TT 2014 is the most successful since the centenary seven years ago.
Certainly, the Steam Packet says there’s been a seven and a half per cent increase in passengers with motorbikes compared to 12 months ago.
The company’s revealed it will have carried just over 12,000 motorbikes and 36,800 passengers to the island during the past two and a half weeks.

Chief Executive Mark Woodward says the figures mark yet another year of growth and are evidence of the TT’s continued attraction for motorcycle race fans.
Looking ahead to TT2015, Mr Woodward says early demand for travel is already substantially higher than at this time last year.
When enquiries for next year opened on May the 26th, there were two and a half thousand bookings within the first 10 hours –up 41 per cent on last year.
