TT racing tragedy

by isleofman.com 2nd June 2014

A 65 year old rider was killed during today's Supersport race.

Bob Price from Stroud, Gloucester, was an experienced road racer who first competed in the TT in 1992 and was a regular competitor in the Manx Grand Prix classic races, where he achieved a third place in the Junior Classic in 2002 and was runner up in the Senior Classic the same year. He took part in last year's inaugural Classic TT races.

Bob, a car body repair shop owner, died today after an incident at Ballaugh on the third lap of the race. Race organisers the ACU have passed on their deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

An investigation into the circumstances of the accident is underway.
