Dunlop gives BMW first solo victory for 75 years

by isleofman.com 31st May 2014
The first race of 2014 gave BMW a first win since 1939 and Michael Dunlop his eighth TT victory, but what a last lap from Kiwi, Bruce Anstey.
After Dunlop had lowered the outright lap record twice in the six-lap Superbike race, Anstey went round at 132.3 mph on his final lap.
It wasn't enough to give him a podium place though with the one, two, three, Michael Dunlop, Guy Martin and local man Conor Cummins respectively.
Dunlop took the lead at Ramsey on lap one and he never looked like being reined in.
