There were victories for Castletown, champions Cronkbourne and leaders Peel & St John’s in the Standard Bank Premiership yesterday (Saturday).
The Saints pinned back Valkyres to 131 for nine from their 40 overs.
Mark Furness top scored with 38 and there were two wickets each for Dan Hawke, Russell Miller and Nick Hawke.
Peel reached their target for the loss of six wickets with Greg Hawke hitting an excellent 76 which included 11 fours and 3 sixes.
Crosby were 153 all out in their match against Castletown.
Harry Rothwell scored 23 and spinner Scott Weaver claimed three for 11.
In reply, John Short was in great form and smashed 85 as the Town swept to victory by nine wickets.
Champions Cronkbourne had a shock at Ramsey where the home side was dismissed for 75 with Alex Stokoe taking five for 27.
The northerners fought back, however, and the Douglas side just won with 76 for eight.
Peel now lead the table by 19 points from Castletown but Town have a game in hand.
