Kneen shines on day marred by tragedy

by isleofman.com 3rd May 2014
Manx rider Dan Kneen followed up his win at Cookstown by taking the feature race at the Tandragee road races in County Armagh on Saturday.
But it was a day marred by tragedy.
Noel Murphy, who was due to make his debut at this year's Manx Grand Prix, lost his life in an incident in an early race.
Noel was from Lusk in Ireland - the same village as Martin Finnegan who died in a crash at the same circuit six years ago to the day.
Racing continued after a long delay on the insistence of Noel Murphy's family.
A number of riders opted not to compete in the feature race which was reduced to three laps and won by Kneen, who made it two wins at the meeting, while William Dunlop won the Supersport event.
