by isleofman.com 1st May 2014

Manx Telecom has announced a summer sale on data roaming charges for the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands from May 1st. Regular data roaming prices for all of its mobile customers are now just 50p per MB (megabyte), reduced from ?1.50. Pay monthly customers can also enjoy a 50% reduction on bolt-on charges for these destinations, with data bolt-ons just ?2.99 per month and 25p per megabyte, instead of ?5.99 and 50p per MB. Talk’n’text bolt-ons are also reduced from ?3.99 to ?1.99 per month, giving customers added value as well as peace of mind whilst they’re away.

Mervyn Harvey, Mobile Products Manager said:

“Our summer roaming sale offers fantastic value for all of our mobile customers and we hope that they will now be more inclined to stay in contact via social media when they travel to the UK in particular. The best way to stay on top of your data, call and text charges whilst away for business or leisure, is to consider a roaming bolt-on. However, our standard data roaming reductions are also fantastic value for Pay As You Go and Pay Monthly customers and, not forgetting, it is still free for all of our customers to receive calls in the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands. We also have roaming bolt-ons for customers travelling further to Europe, USA and more destinations this summer which continue to provide excellent value. Manx Telecom customers can order any of these services easily by filling out a simple form on our website before setting off on their trip.”

All the prices quoted apply when roaming in Zone 1 (UK, Ireland and Channel Islands). Data bolt-ons are not available with Blackberry services and a one month minimum term applies to all bolt-ons. All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT.
