Citywing has great news for TT fans.
It’s providing extra flights between the Isle of Man and Blackpool, Belfast, Glasgow and Gloucester over the course of the fortnight between May 24 and June 6.
It means there will be around 20 extra flights during the festival compared to TT 2013.
The news comes hot on the heels of airline BA CityFlyer which recently increased its services between the Island and London City to three flights per day.
Citywing managing director David Buck said: ‘Our TT specials last year were a huge hit and we are delighted to offer extra flights again to help even more fans get to the festival for 2014.
‘The TT is a hugely popular event, and significantly important to the Isle of Man; not only is the event itself an exciting spectacle, but it is an iconic part of our Island’s sporting heritage which is recognised the world over.
‘As always, we would recommend that customers book these flights, as well as their accommodation, as early as possible so as to avoid disappointment.’
David Cretney MHK, political member of the Department of Economic, added: ‘The TT is proving increasingly popular and visitor numbers are on the rise for the festival. With this in mind, we thank our partners in the tourism and hospitality industries for their ongoing support and efforts to accommodate visitor growth.
‘By offering these enhanced flight timetables, Citywing is a great example of how local companies can work with government to great effect for the benefit of the Island’s community and economy.’
