Barclays Wealth and Investment Management has announced it is supporting a World Cup-themed dinner which will raise funds for the Manx Miracles charity.
The dinner, to be held at the Mount Murray Hotel on May 21st, will be attended by famous football pundits Ray Stubbs, Peter Reid and Mark Lawrenson, who will be answering questions, discussing the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil and taking part in a series of entertaining games with the audience.
The event, organised by former Barclays’ employee Carl Lawrenson, will raise funds for Manx Miracles, one of the nominated charities supported by Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in 2014, as well as the Isle of Man Football Association.
Manx Miracles is a parent-led charity for children that have additional needs and disabilities, raising money for children and families in the Isle of Man that face significant challenges. In particular, the charity aims to help children with physical and/or learning disabilities reach their potential and ensure these children and their families have access to the best support available.
Stuart Nelson, Head of Corporate and Intermediary Banking at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management in the Isle of Man said: ‘We are delighted to be sponsoring this event, which will raise vital funds for one of our chosen charities of the year, Manx Miracles.
‘This promises to be a great and really fun event, and an opportunity to hear the thoughts of football experts ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
‘I’d like to thank Carl for all his hard work to organise this event, and our colleague Ben Smaller from Barclays for all the effort he has put in to helping ensure as much money as possible is raised for the important work of Manx Miracles.’
A limited number of tickets are still available for the dinner. For more details contact Ben Smaller on 681987.
