Warning to householders

by isleofman.com 23rd April 2014

Lock your doors - that's the message from police after a series of incidents were reported by residents in the Strang and Union Mills area.

Officers are investigating several reports between 9pm and midnight last night, when attempts to gain entry into a number of properties through insecure doors were made.

A police spokesman said: 'This sort of incident is unusual for our Island but preventable by using basic crime prevention techniques such as locking your doors.'

Extra patrols are now in the area as well as officers conducting house to house inquiries. Police want to hear from anyone who noticed any unusual activity during this time or anything they found to be suspicious.

Anyone with information should call 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
