Bikers urged to stay safe on the Mountain Road

by isleofman.com 18th April 2014
Bikers are being urged to take it easy this Easter, with a new campaign highlighting the need to be careful on one of the Island's fastest stretch of roads.
Operation Mountain Safe is a joint initiative between the Department of Infrastructure, emergency services and the Institute of Advanced Motorists.
It is running until TT practice week, as historically the better weather has also led to an increase in the number of accidents.
Motorcyclists need to make sure their bikes are up to scratch after the winter, which means checking things like tyres, brakes and fluid levels.
Inspector Derek Flint says the impact of an accident can be devastating. Clip 1
