Lib Van leader 'vindicated' over health concerns

by isleofman.com 14th April 2014
The MHK who called for an independent review of Noble's Hosptial says the external report just published vindicates her stance.
Liberal Vannin leader and South Douglas member Kate Beecroft raised concerns about patient safety and management at the hospital two years ago.
And she was highly critical of the former Health Minister David Anderson.
The first report in a rolling three year review of the entire Island health service uncovered a raft of shortcomings in three key areas at Noble's.
Issues include the difficulty some medical staff face in maintaining competence levels to UK standards - mainly due to the number of cases they deal with.
Mrs Beecroft says while that's a worry for patients, shining a spotlight on the problem should mean things are put right swiftly:Clip 1
