Extra ?2m for DED to target growth opportunities

Economic Development Minister John Shimmin says six extra members of staff and an additional ?2 million over the next three years will pay dividends.

Treasury has agreed to increase the department's budget so it can recruit staff to target specific Island industries to help them grow.

Mr Shimmin says every extra pound spent by his department returns three to the taxpayer.

He says the money will be used to drive the Island’s businesses forward:
