TT bikers up on last year

by isleofman.com 11th April 2014

Ferry operator the Steam Packet Company says the number of motorcyclists booked to travel to the Isle of Man for the 2014 TT festival is up by six per cent on last year.

Chief executive Mark Woodward said: 'We're pleased with the TT 2014 figures at this stage, and it shows just one of the advantages of our investment in the charter of MV Arrow. She allows us to supplement Ben-my-Chree and Manannan during the TT period, and of course provides cover for scheduled overhaul periods.'

Latest ferry bookings show 11,719 motorcycles will be arriving on the island, while the number of passengers is up four per cent to 29,510 during the TT festival period.
