Lack of consultation on equality disappoints Thomas

by isleofman.com 10th April 2014
West Douglas MHK Chris Thomas says he’s disappointed the government won’t ask for comments on equality before it contributes to a UK report.

In Tynwald this week, he asked the government to publish its contribution to the report on a United Nations covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

And he also wanted interested organisations to make their comments on what progress is being made on equality for people with disabilities.

Mr Thomas says even though his motion was narrowly voted down, he’s convinced people will find a way to have their say:Clip 1
