MHK pleased with guardianship legislation approval

An Onchan MHK says he's happy Tynwald has approved guardianship legislation he's been working on for the last four years.
The Children and Young Persons Act has brought in what are called Special Guardianship Regulations.
If there’s a problem with the parents, a child can be looked after by another family member, who will be given the right to make decisions about that child on their behalf.
David Quirk originally brought through a private member's bill which proposed the change in 2010.
