Great response to STEP scheme

by isleofman.com 9th April 2014

Today (Wednesday) is the final chance to get involved in a scheme which gives Manx undergraduates the chance to shine.

It’s the closing date for applications for the 2014 STEP scheme, run by the Department of Economic Development.

It places final and penultimate year undergraduates with local companies to undertake work on skill-centric projects, for eight weeks, during their summer break.

Co-ordinator, Ian Moncrief-Scott, says the scheme helps young people reach their potential and is an important way to engage with the world of work.

You can find out more and receive an application form by contacting Sam Birchall at the department on 682383.
STEP has now launched its campaign for projects.

Organisations of any size can participate whether public, private or third sector. You’re asked to get in touch with Mr Moncrief-Scott on 469261 or 664883.
