Firm looks to tap emerging lottery business in Israel

by isleofman.com 3rd April 2014
Isle of Man firm Counting House is to host what's thought to be the first worldwide forum for the Lottery messenger industry, in Israel next month.
Counting House is a payments handling consultancy for the eGaming and eCommerce sectors, whose CEO Paul Davis has identified the emerging lottery messenger industry as a "very lucrative potential new channel for the Isle of Man."
Lottery messenger firms act on behalf of clients who want to buy tickets in overseas lotteries, through online subscription services.
The Island's Department of Economic Development will be represented at the forum in Tel Aviv on May 20, where political member for eGaming Leonard Singer will give the welcoming speech.
On arrival, all delegates will be handed a numbered lottery ball with the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the Isle of Man from their home country.
In December 2013 an eGaming and eCommerce conference in Israel hosted by Counting House produced some new leads for banking in the Isle of Man, and it's understood a licence application from binary option firm Tradologic is now in the system, with the potential to bring new jobs to the Island.
