Manx Telecom’s Business Development division goes global

by isleofman.com 2nd April 2014

Manx Telecom’s Business Development division has been renamed Global Solutions, which follows the recent rebrand of their Chameleon smart SIM solutions product. Over the past few years, Manx Telecom’s off-Island business has increased to such an extent that it now forms a significant and ever-growing part of the business - and much of this growth is attributable to a unique technology platform and some innovative and creative thinking.

Its products and services are now integral to critical connection applications for lone workers, emergency services, the elderly and vulnerable and many more unique segments in the UK and beyond. They are also used for a growing number of machine-to-machine applications and traveller services across the globe. Tom Meageen, Head of the newly named Global Solutions division at Manx Telecom, said:

“The division has consistently grown off-Island revenues over recent years and the change to Global Solutions is inspired by the company’s plans for a continued growth in this area. Whilst a subtle change, it’s ambitious, modern, and it’s the type of name our customers would expect to identify us by. We’ve been busy recruiting several new team members over recent months and further afield, our Chameleon product recently secured us a finalist position at the telecoms.com awards in Barcelona in the Best MVNO category.”

There are currently 12 employees in the Global Solutions division, and this is expected to increase in 2014. To contact Manx Telecom’s Global Solutions team email globalsolutions@manxtelecom.com, call (01624) 636 363, or visit www.manxtelecom.com/globalsolutions.
