With Liverpool’s International Business Festival looming, 3FM and Quinn Legal have teamed up with Liverpool events company, Second Skin Events Ltd. to organise a networking event in the Isle of Man.
On the 8th April, between 25 and 50 professionals and senior business figures will head over from the UK to take part in what could be the most important networking event of 2014.
With the full backing of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce - its set to explore business connections on our doorstep and determine how the Island’s business community can play a part in North West business development.
Organisers’ say the event’s success rests with the Island’s private sector, which is being asked to take part by presenting the Island favourably and taking the opportunity to develop tangible prospective business partnerships.
Over the last few years, Merseyside has seen a substantial regeneration programme.
Investment into the city of Liverpool has continued past its European Capital of Culture year in 2008 - which was a springboard for the city to generate development and business opportunities both at home and in surrounding areas.
The Isle of Man has long-established links with the North West in general, but Liverpudlian people know where we are, and many have childhood holiday memories of the Island.
The event will take place on the 9th April at the Palace Hotel, and is inclusive of:
• 8am business breakfast
• Between 9am and 10am: Five visitor presentations
Each one will highlight areas of development in Merseyside. This will be matched by five presentations from the Island, including the CEO of the Department of Economic Development and the CEO of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce.
• Between 10am and 12pm: Speed networking sessions
This allows time for B2B to find areas of common ground with an exchange of ideas and professional services that will undoubtedly prove valuable to all of the event’s delegates.
• Between 12pm and 1pm: Open networking buffet lunch
• 1pm close
The cost covers expenses only at ?50 per person; including breakfast, mid-morning coffee and lunch.
The opportunity to take part in this event could open the door to the business opportunities and new markets, and as a not-for-profit initiative, its success relies on participation.
