ACSP presents offshore trust update for April seminar

The Association of Corporate Service Providers has arranged an offshore trust update seminar on Thursday April 3rd that will offer ‘a practical perspective on dealing with trust disputes and how to avoid them’.

Sponsored by Dougherty Quinn (DQ) the session will feature three speakers.

Jonathan Hilliard is a barrister with Wilberforce Chambers in London who focuses particularly on offshore trusts and has been listed in The Times as one of the 10 future ‘stars’ of the Bar.

Annemarie Hughes is a director and head of trusts and the private client team at DQ, advising on complex Isle of Man trusts and foundations matters. She is also a chartered tax adviser and committee member of the Isle of Man branches of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and STEP technical and policy committee.

Tom Maher is managing director of DQ, advising on contentious trust matters involving international clients with Isle of Man structures. He has also developed expertise in international and tax and criminal investigations relating to Isle of Man companies and trusts.

The seminar will be at Upper Hall, Loch Promenade Church, Douglas with registration from 12noon for a prompt 12.30pm start. Subject to the number of questions and contributions from the audience the session is expected to finish around 1.30pm.
