Minister for Infrastructure Laurence Skelly MHK has announced the political delegations for his team at the DoI.
 
Mr Houghton will now be taking on responsibility for the Highways and Operations Divisions in addition to overseeing the Department’s Estates Division.
 
Mr Singer, who previously had responsibility for the Department’s Highways Division, is now in charge of the Ports Division.
 
Mr Ronan, who already holds responsibility for the Local Government Unit and the Health and Safety at Work Inspectorate is now also tasked with heading Waste Management, the Planning and Building Control Division and has been appointed Chairman of the Planning Committee.
 
Mr Skelly welcomed new Political Member Kate Beecroft to the Department.  Mrs Beecroft will take delegated responsibility for Public Transport from the 1st April 2014.
 
Mr Skelly said “I am very pleased to retain Messrs Houghton, Singer and Ronan in the Department and know that I can count on their contribution.  I am also very pleased that Mrs Beecroft is joining the team.”
