Appleby has been shortlisted as “Offshore Firm of the Year” by Chambers & Partners in the “Chambers Global Awards 2014”.

In naming Appleby a finalist, Chambers recognised the groups prominent network of offices globally, its reputation as a leading offshore provider of legal services, particularly in relation to multi-jurisdictional mandate, and its strength in litigation and asset finance. The organisation also called specific attention to Appleby’s recent representation of Alibaba.com in its privatisation through a scheme arrangement under Cayman Islands company law.

The Global Awards 2014 draw upon the extensive research which goes into the Chambers Global, including contributions from all Chambers regional guides, and recognises notable achievements in the international legal market over the past year. Winners will be announced on March 27.
