Leading UK IT experts to attend the 2014 Skanco IT Showcase

by isleofman.com 18th February 2014

Specialists from the UK representing some of the world’s leading IT brands will be attending the 2014 Skanco IT Showcase in Douglas on Thursday February 27.

They include Microsoft, HP, VMware, Veeam, Symantec and Citrix.

“The event is a way for businesses of all sizes – from small start-ups to the large corporates on the island – to engage directly with specialists from these leading brands,” said Skanco’s business development manager Dee McLoughlin.

“It is their chance to find out more about new products coming to the market, key solutions for their businesses, coupled with the opportunity for discussion on any projects the specialists and Skanco can help with in the future.

“Skanco launched its first Showcase last year and its success demonstrated the value that people place in face-to-face consultation with specialists.  While we believe in meeting local needs with local services we also recognise that sometimes that means connecting our clients with our global partners.”

She added: “While we may be an Isle of Man based reseller, the Skanco IT Showcase demonstrates how connected we are to leading vendors in the IT world.”

Key members of the Skanco sales and technical team will also be on hand to join in the discussions and advise how they can work with the brands to help and support the needs of businesses in going forward.

The Showcase is being held in the British Embassy Room at the British Pub on North Quay from 3pm.  While appointments to see specialists can be made, this is not essential and guests are invited to “drop by” and wander round the different stands.   Drinks and early evening food will be available from 5.30pm.
