Pinewood signs Welsh deal

Pinewood Shepperton has signed an agreement to advise the Welsh government on a new ?30 million television and film investment fund.

Pinewood, which the Manx government bought a ten per cent stake in for ?12.2 million, will promote and market the fund for Wales.

Pinewood will also lease a studio converted by the Welsh Government in Cardiff, called Pinewood Studio Wales.

Ivan Dunleavy, Pinewood Shepperton’s chief executive, says the new fund will boost the Welsh film and television sector.
