Manx Telecom has been shortlisted for two prestigious industry awards from Telecoms.com and the Design Business Association (DBA).
Manx Telecom’s new brand and identity refresh is on the shortlist for the 2014 DBA Design Effectiveness Awards which recognise the return on investment that a coherent, well thought out and professionally executed design strategy can achieve, and rewards both client and designer for their collaboration on an effective project. Manx Telecom is shortlisted with the Conran Design Group which worked on the brand and identity refresh launched in 2011. The judging panel comprises representatives from leading brands such as Nokia, GlaxoSmithKline, Marks and Spencer, Reckitt Benkiser, Unilever, Diageo, Samsung and Waitrose. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on February 13 at Tobacco Dock, London and as a result of being shortlisted, Manx Telecom and Conran Design Group are guaranteed a gold, silver or bronze award. Conran Design Group made a video case study about the creation of the refreshed Manx Telecom brand, which can be viewed at this link http://www.conrandesigngroup.com/assets/case-studies/2012/manx_telecom.
David Smith, Manx Telecom’s Marketing Director, said:
“The development and launch of our new brand identity was an important milestone for Manx Telecom and it has played, and will continue to play, a key role in our strategy for growth. We’re delighted that all of the hard work that went into creating the brand – both from Manx Telecom and the Conran Design Group – has been acknowledged by the DBA Awards judging panel.”
The company has also been shortlisted for ‘Best MVNO’ category at the inaugural Telecoms.com Industry Awards which are being held to celebrate the wide-ranging achievements of the key players within the global communications industry. The shortlisting is for Manx Telecom’s ground-breaking Chameleon portfolio. Chameleon allows MVNOs to use Manx Telecom’s world class mobile network to offer services for connection critical markets including providing protection for remote workers, remotely monitoring systems, or improving business efficiency. Commenting on the announcement, Paul Craig, Manx Telecom’s Chameleon Sales Manager, said:
“We’re delighted and proud to have been shortlisted for Best MVNO category, especially in view of the calibre of audience for these awards. It’s deserved recognition for creating a great product – winning would be the icing on the cake.”
Also shortlisted in the MVNO category alongside Manx Telecom are Lycamobile, Omea Telecom, and Truphone. The winners will be decided by an independent judging panel boasting decades of industry expertise. They will be assisted by specialist judges who will lend their insights for particular categories. Winners will be announced at presentation evening at the Miramar Club Restaurant in Barcelona on February 24.
