Christa wins the prestigious Little Prize

by isleofman.com 3rd February 2014

Moore Stephens Isle of Man is pleased to announce that Christa Worth has been awarded The Little Prize by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (“ICAEW”).

The Little Prize is presented to the student with the highest marks in the Business Planning: Taxation module of the examinations leading to qualification as a Chartered Accountant. This is Christa’s third major award in the last 18 months; she also won the Watts Prize in 2012 for the Audit and Assurance paper and the Howitt Prize in 2013 for Financial Management paper.

“What can I say, Christa works hard and she thoroughly deserves this international recognition,” said Dawn Webb, audit partner in Moore Stephens Isle of Man. “Christa is a joy to work with and an inspiration to us all - she is a credit to the firm and I am so pleased to have her on our team.”

Christa joined Moore Stephens in 2011 as an audit graduate trainee having gained a First Class Honours degree in Business Management from the Isle of Man Business School.  She is now in her third and final year of her ICAEW training contract with the firm.

“I’m so honoured and, best of all, it’s one step closer to my qualification - but I still have the advanced stage exams to do this year!” said Christa. “I’d like to thank Moore Stephens for all of their mentoring and support over the past two years.”

The Little Prize was established in 1960 to perpetuate the memory of Leo T Little, who was editor of the ICAEW magazine Accountancy for more than 20 years.
