by isleofman.com 28th January 2014
The organisation hoping to turn the Nunnery in Douglas into a new education facility for Information Technology has until the end of this week to raise the money it needs.

Under a deal with the government, the Manx Education Foundation charity has to raise ?12.5 million in backing by January 31 – this Friday.

If it can raise the backing it needs, the government has agreed to let it buy the complex for ?5 million later this year.

The Foundation, a registered charity, already runs the Island’s mobile and family libraries, and hopes to set up the International Centre for Technology at the Nunnery.
