Committee to question Department of Social Care and Data Protection Supervisor

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald, will be taking oral evidence next week on the subject of referrals to Children and Families Social Services.  The witnesses scheduled to appear are:-

3.00pm - Yvette Mellor, Chief Executive, Department of Social Care, with Deborah Brayshaw, Head of Safeguarding, Department of Social Care.

3.45pm - Iain McDonald, Data Protection Supervisor

The session will be on Wednesday 29th January in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas. The evidence will be taken in public. Members of the public are welcome to attend or to listen via the new audio webcast service on the Tynwald website.

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, comprising of Mrs Brenda Cannell MHK, Caairliagh, the Hon Steve Rodan SHK and Mr Alan Crowe MLC, is one of three Standing Committees of Tynwald Court established in October 2011 with a wide scrutiny remit.
