Citywing offer to Birmingham-bound passengers

by isleofman.com 20th January 2014

Isle of Man-based Citywing is hoping to win business on its Midlands route, following news Flybe is to reduce its service to Birmingham.
From the end of January, Flybe's current morning departure to the city and evening return, will be cut to just one flight per day, departing the Island at midday.
Citywing's inviting passengers who need to travel there-and-back in a day, to use morning and evening flights on its Gloucester route instead - and use the M5 motorway to get into Birmingham.
Citywing's offering to re book travellers who don't want to cancel their plans, onto its Gloucester flights for ?1 less than they originally paid.
Flybe last week announced it would continue serving Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham after closing its Isle of Man base at the start of the summer season.
However there will be fewer flights to and from the three destinations, overall.
