OFT Responds to Competition Policy Consultation

by isleofman.com 4th December 2013

The Office of Fair Trading has today published its response to the recent consultation on Competition Policy. The OFT Chairman, David Quirk MHK thanked those who had contributed to the consultation and advised:

“We have listened carefully to the various views expressed and we will certainly bear them in mind as we start to move forward in the development of new legislation to replace Part 2 of the Fair Trading Act 1996. This consultation was very much about the policy principles and once we have developed proposals, the business community and the general public will have an opportunity to comment on the detail.”

The Summary of Responses to the Consultation on Competition Policy is available at http://www.gov.im/lib/docs/oft/consultations/summaryofconsultationresponses1.pdf
