Committee to question Home Affairs Minister on behalf of the public

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald, will be taking oral evidence next week from the Minister for Home Affairs, Hon Juan Watterson MHK. The Chief Executive of the Department, Mr Mark Kelly, will also participate.

The session will be on Wednesday 27th November at 11am in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas. The evidence will be taken in public. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

Members of the public may submit questions to the Committee by e-mail in advance of the hearing. The Committee will consider putting such questions to the Minister on behalf of the public. Suggested questions should be sent to j.king@tynwald.org.im.

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, comprising of Mrs Brenda Cannell MHK, Caairliagh, the Hon Steve Rodan SHK and Mr Alan Crowe MLC, is one of three Standing Committees of Tynwald Court established in October 2011 with a wide scrutiny remit.
