KPMG has confirmed that the 2013 eGaming Summit will still be taking place exactly as previously billed, albeit at a replacement venue. Originally due to be held at The Mount Murray Hotel this Tuesday 12th November, the 2013 eGaming Summit will now be held at the Palace Hotel on Central Promenade, Douglas.
The replacement venue was chosen at short notice following a serious fire in the top floor guest accommodation block of the Mount Murray Hotel.
KPMG would like to extend its sympathies to The Mount Murray Hotel and offer a sincere message of thanks to the many individuals and organisations who offered their support in securing one of the eGaming industry’s most anticipated events, including Peter Greenhill, Chris Corlett, The Manx Museum, The Claremont Hotel, The Palace Hotel, Manx Radio, Ed Bunce from Ginger and Claire Milne of Appleby.
Russell Kelly, Director responsible for eGaming at KPMG enthused: “It is in times like this that you really begin to realise how important and special the business community is on the Isle of Man. The KPMG eGaming Summit is one of our largest and most popular events and for a moment we were facing a quite significant crisis. Without the support of the Department of Economic Development, the Island’s businesses and key individuals, we may not have been able to find a viable alternative at such short notice. On behalf of KPMG I would also like to thank our Summit sponsors, delegates, visitors and speakers for their patience and support and commend everyone involved for a fantastic and heartening group effort.”
