Over 150 people attended the 1st of November series of seminars at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show where Ayuk Ntuiabane, partner at Moore Stephens Isle of Man, leading providers of multi-sector accountancy, consultancy and financial services chaired.
Ayuk’s panel specifically addressed tax issues surrounding superyacht chartering around the world, with particular emphasis on US and Caribbean waters and an update on recent changes in European VAT.
“I was honoured to be asked by the International Superyacht Society to chair the tax panel in Fort Lauderdale," said Ayuk. "As many professionals in the superyacht industry know only too well, the tax ramifications of chartering in the vicinity of the USA present superyacht owners, captains and managers with some very special fiscal challenges in the global context – it was rewarding being able to explore these challenges with such an interesting panel.”
Ayuk was joined on his YachtInfo panel by prominent US maritime lawyer, Danielle Butler and US head of Hill Robinson, Michael Reardon.
The YachtInfo series provided the latest information in a day long series of one hour panels to superyacht owners, managers, captains and crew, at yacht shows around the world on the global business of superyachts and superyacht operations.
