Moore Stephens Isle of Man, leading providers of multi-sector accountancy, consultancy and financial services, is pleased to announce that two key staff members have achieved exam success. Mike Buffini, director in Moore Stephens Financial Services Limited and Ben Akrigg, audit supervisor in Moore Stephens Chartered Accountants both passed exams gaining new qualifications.
“The whole firm joins me in congratulating Mike and Ben,” said Clive Dixon, senior partner in Moore Stephens Isle of Man. “For both, passing their respective exams is a great achievement – we are proud of them.”
Mike studied for the Private Client Investment Advice and Management qualification which has been designed to enable existing Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) authorised practitioners to demonstrate their broad understanding of the principles of private client investment advice, within the context of the current regulatory environment. He is now a Chartered Wealth Manager.
“You’re never too old to learn - I’ve been a qualified investment adviser for over 20 years and this was the next step in my professional development,” said Mike. “I joined Moore Stephens in 2010 and am very grateful for their support.”
Ben studied for three years for the Associated Chartered Accountants (“ACA”) qualification. The ACA qualification is one of the most advanced learning and professional development programmes available and took 15 exams in total to gain his qualification.
“I joined the firm in 2009 and started taking my ACA exams in October 2010 – after 3 years of hard work it’s a great feeling to be able to call myself a Chartered Accountant, and the firm has been instrumental in helping me achieve this,” said Ben.
