Appleby partner scoops major “Who’s Who” listing

by isleofman.com 25th October 2013
John Rimmer, Practice Group Head of Private Client and Trusts at Appleby Isle of Man, has been recognised in the top category of an extremely prestigious global listing of top private client lawyers.

The Who’s Who of Private Client Lawyers 2013 listed John within the category of Most Highly Regarded Individuals. The list, for which 2013 is the inaugural issue, is produced by the publishers of The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers, which is now in its 17th edition and is one of the world’s leading guides to business law firms worldwide. It is independently researched and ranks leading lawyers and law firms in over 140 different jurisdictions.  Earlier this year Mr Rimmer also featured as a leading lawyer in the Citywealth Leaders List 2013, a prestigious guide to the leading wealth managers and advisers worldwide.

Globally, Appleby is the only legal company to have two lawyers listed as the ten Most Highly Regarded Individuals.  The other is Carlos de Serpa Pimentel, Global Trust and Private Client Practice Group Head in the Cayman office.  In addition, six of the company’s staff were listed as Highly Recommended Individuals.

John commented: “I am delighted with this recognition, as well as the success of the Group globally in having so many staff listed.  However, we all recognise that our success is not just a reflection on us personally, but also on the excellent teams behind us.  This is a reflection of the quality and client service that Appleby strives to provide across the group, as much as the good standing of individual members.”
