by isleofman.com 16th October 2013
The Island will have two 4G networks in place by next summer.

It’s been confirmed Manx Telecom and Sure Isle of Man have been awarded licenses by the Communications Commission and both have vowed to launch the service by next July.
They have also promised to provide coverage to at least 95 per cent of the Island's population by 2016.
The 4G service, which was launched in 11 UK cities last year, allows users to surf the web up to five times faster than 3G.
Each licence cost ?150,000.
