An employee of the Douglas branch of Lloyds Bank is set to receive a rare subject prize from the Chartered Banker Institute. Daniel Oram, who works within the islands commercial banking team, achieved the highest marks in the UK for the Offshore Practice module whilst being examined for the industry body’s Professional Banker Diploma.
Daniel commented on the award: “I’m really pleased to get such a positive result, but the real benefit of the course is the in-depth understanding it gave me and the knowledge that I’ll be able to use in my job.”
Daniel’s line manager is Chris Blake, a Senior Relationship Manager at the Bank. He says of Daniel’s achievement: “Daniel has approached this success with humility, but he has worked very hard for the prize and we are extremely proud of him. I think this achievement and the work ethic behind it are perfect examples of the talent and positive attitude that is shared by all of the employees here at Lloyds Bank.”
Lloyds Bank has funded Daniel’s Diploma course as part of its employee training commitment, which is aimed at benefitting both staff and customers through enhanced understanding and developing talent.
