Visit from IoD chief a fillip to Island firms

Local business leaders are being urged to make the most of David Cameron's recent confirmation that the UK government no longer regards the Isle of Man as a tax haven.
Director General of the Institute of Directors Simon Walker has made his first visit here to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Island branch.
The trip was slotted in between his attendance at the Labour and Conservative party conferences.
Mr Walker said the prime minister's remarks about the status of the Crown Dependencies should act as a rallying call for firms to spread the message further:
