Barclays makes appointment to Trust business

Barclays Wealth and Investment Management has appointed Janice Turnbull as a Vice President and Trust and Fiduciary Specialist within its Isle of Man trust business.

Janice has practised as an advocate in the Isle of Man for 15 years, specialising in corporate and commercial law. Having trained and practiced in the banking department of Cains, she subsequently joined the Financial Supervision Commission as a legal policy adviser before establishing her own legal practice. Janice has extensive experience in fiduciary matters, and recently worked in-house as part of the business control unit in the fiduciary division of an international bank.

“I am delighted to be joining the team at Barclays,” Janice said. “I will be working closely with a dedicated team of trust and fiduciary specialists across the jurisdictions in which Barclays Wealth and Investment Management operates and with our wider Isle of Man team to ensure continued delivery against client needs and our strategic business objectives.”

“Our trust and fiduciary specialist team enables us to ensure that our service delivery to clients is of the highest quality and that we meet exacting business objectives.  Whilst we do not advise clients in legal or tax matters, we work closely with external advisers to ensure client objectives are met.” 

The Barclays trust business has flourished in the Isle of Man since formation 54 years ago, and now has in the region of 70 client-facing employees and a reputation within the industry for discreet high quality client service and strong staff loyalty.
