Corporate client hopes for Tromode estate

by isleofman.com 18th September 2013

A Manx commercial lettings firm has told its shareholders that business is thriving with the possible announcement shortly of a 'significant new tenant' on its flagship estate.
Talks are taking place between Clucas Plc, the owners of the Tromode Industrial Estate on the edge of Douglas, and what is termed 'a corporate tenant of significance'.
However, it's being stressed that progress with the potential client will depend on confidential discussions with a number of parties about a substantial new building on the site of the former Clucas laundry.
If agreement is reached, chairman Mike Henthorn says the premises would become the flagship development at the entrance to the estate.
At the same time, Clucas says all its properties at Tromode are currently fully let, with four of the top tenants extending leases at renewal.
