Hidden Hearing Strengthen Isle of Man Team

by isleofman.com 1st August 2013

Leading provider of private hearing healthcare, Manx Hidden Hearing, has announced the appointment of three new employees: Elaine Norris, Julie Twigger and Suzanne Tucker. The new appointments are designed deliberately to improve on the company’s previous offerings and come as part of its expanded service offering at the Isle of Man clinic in Village Walk, Onchan.

Elaine has been working as a senior Audiologist with Hidden Hearing UK for 8 years and has spent the majority of her career at the Hidden Hearing centre in Lytham St Annes where she has established a practise that is renowned not only for its up to date equipment but more importantly for its approach to individuals needs. Elaine also acts as mentor for a large team of Dispensers in the North West of England, sharing both her experience and expertise and providing them with both support and training.

Commenting on her move to the Isle of Man, Elaine enthused: “In my role as Hearing Aid Dispenser I enjoy seeing the difference I make to both my clients and their families and hope to have helped many people to improve their quality of life.  Our hearing is a vital sense, which must be protected and checked regularly, as hearing loss can have a huge impact on a person’s social and private life, often leaving them feeling isolated and unable to join in. This is not something people need to put up with.  Expert advice and ongoing care can fix all that.  I welcome anybody who is experiencing any concerns with their hearing, to pop in to the clinic for a confidential chat with me to see if I can help make a difference.  I look forward to meeting all of our clients at the Isle of Man clinic.”

Julie joins the team as a hearing aid audiologist with 12 years’ experience.  Julie brings a wealth of knowledge in a variety of hearing aid technologies and has also recently become qualified to perform ear syringing, which will be a new service offered at the clinic.  As a hearing aid wearer herself, Julie has a personal understanding of the difficulties hearing loss can cause and of the benefits that regular hearing aid use can offer.

Suzanne, who started at Hidden Hearing on a temporary placement, will now be taking on the permanent role of receptionist.  Suzanne brings invaluable customer service experience to the team and looks forward to meeting both existing and new clients.
